On Saturday, March 1, 2008, we held our third annual Shabbat Shira program. Over 75 people gathered to share the final Shabbat meal together, participate in Havdalah, and celebrate Shabbat Shira, the "Sabbath of Song" with a song-filled evening. Songs included Israeli tunes, children’s favorites, new melodies to traditional prayers, and popular modern Jewish music. While children danced, adults and children of all ages joined in the singing at this rocking music event. The event featured our own Kehillah talent—Aaron Miller, Amy Rosenthal, and Miriam Ornstein as the song leaders; Rafy Orenstein on the accordion; and Elliot Orenstein on the drums.
