~ Selichot ~
At
this thought-provoking program, we prepare for the High Holy Days. We enjoy
Havdalah and dessert, followed by a pertinent film and discussion about
forgiveness and reconciliation. The evening culminates with selections from the
Selichot liturgy.
~ The Mystical Journey of Tu B'shvat ~
We
spend an evening learning about the mystical tradition of Tu
B’shvat, eating the fruits and nuts from our land, learning from
Rabbi Jen, and enjoying a unique potluck Tu B’shvat seder.
~ Yom Ha'Shoah ~
Along with other
local synagogues and the Jewish Federation, we co-sponsor the
yearly community-wide Yom Ha'Shoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day)
commemoration. In May 2008, we hosted the program, which
featured Kehillah member Ilona Fuchs.

~ Preparing for S
havuot ~
At
this experiential study session, we prepare for Shavuot. We
begin the evening by weaving flower crowns which will adorn the
Torah on Shavuot morning. Then, we share a potluck dessert
and engage in an adult learning session with Rabbi Jen. Children
are welcome to assist with the crown weaving and dessert.
