No’ar Hadash (Hebrew for "New Youth") is the youth group at the Kehillah. It is
geared towards teens in 8th-12th grades. Each school year, these teens will have
the opportunity to participate in approximately 10 programs that will be a mix
of social, educational and social action programs. Some examples programs are:
pizza and movie night at the Kehillah, schmooze with the rabbi (on a topic
interesting to a teen), organizing recycling at the Kehillah and participating
in a Kehillah-wide Mitzvah Day.
No’ar Hadash is the national Reconstructionist youth movement that promotes and
fosters innovative and fun Jewish youth programming from a uniquely
Reconstructionist perspective. Because it is a national movement, teens have the
opportunity to participate in regional and national conventions and camps.
This youth group provides innovative, exciting, creative, fun, and engaging
programs designed to meet teens’ religious, intellectual, spiritual, and social
needs. By participating in this group, teens remain connected to the Kehillah
and to their peers, learn Jewishly, engage in social action activities and are a
part of the community.
