In order to make synagogue activities more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive, the Kehillah has chosen to begin a Twenties/Thirties chavurah– a group who decide to join together to socialize, learn, and celebrate Jewish life together. The Kehillah also offers reduced membership rates for people under 30 and special first year rates to all people in the Twenties/Thirties Group. Rosh Hashanah Pot Luck. Fri., Sept. 28, 5:30 p.m. Chapel Hill Kehillah Education Wing.  Enjoy a 20’s/30’s potluck  dinner! Please bring a vegetarian or  dairy dish to share. Feel free to stay for a spiritual Shabbat evening service at 7 p.m.

Shabbat Pot Luck in the Sukkah.  Fri., Oct. 14, 6 p.m. Chapel Hill Kehillah.  Enjoy a potluck  dinner! Please bring a vegetarian or  dairy dish to share. Feel free to stay for a spiritual Shabbat evening service at 7 p.m.

Hunger Relief. Nov. Date TBA. Join the Kehillah 20's/30's group as they pre-pack canned items that IFC will distribute as part of the holiday meals. We will be working at the IFC office in Carrboro. We may carpool, so please RSVP!

 

Tu B'shvat themed Shabbat Pot Luck. Fri., Feb. 10, 6 p.m. Chapel Hill Kehillah Education Wing. Enjoy a 20’s/30’s potluck dinner! Please bring a vegetarian or dairy dish to share (feel free to theme it around fruits!). We welcome you to stay for a spiritual Shabbat evening service at 7 p.m.

Kehillah Choice Dinner. Feb. 18, Time TBA. Come enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal, help support the Kehillah and help build community! Space is limited. Cost TBA.

Prospective Member Wine & Cheese. Sat., Mar. 12, 5-7 p.m. Join the Kehillah for a special prospective and new member wine and cheese reception, and meet other 20’s/30’s. We welcome you to stay for the hilarious Purim Shpiel at 7 p.m.!

Purim Megillah Reading. Wed., Mar. 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Come dressed in costume, hear a hysterical rendition of the Megillah, and enjoy Single Malt Scotch tasting! 

20’s/30’s CROP Walk. Sun, Mar. 25. Each year, the Kehillah participates in the CROP Walk, which is an event that supports local and national hunger relief. Come participate in the almost 4 mile walk with other 20’s/30’s.

Passover Seder: Apr. 7, 6 p.m. Come join the Kehillah for the second night of Passover at the special 20’s/30’s table.

Shavuot Pot Luck: Fri., May 25, 5:30 p.m. Weave flower crowns, study Torah with Rabbi Jen, and enjoy a potluck  dinner with the larger Kehillah community! Please bring a vegetarian or  dairy dish to share. Feel free to stay for a spiritual Shabbat evening service at 7 p.m.
