Sun., Feb. 5, 10-11:30 a.m., Chapel.  A discussion about the proposed constitutional amendment to limit LGBT and other relationships in North Carolina. Presentation by Dr. Maxine Eichner on the meaning of the proposed constitutional amendment and its potential effects on gay couples and non-married opposite sex couples.

Building Bridges: An Intro to Islam with Professor Omid Safi.
Jan. 22 & 29, and Feb. 12, 10-11:30 a.m. Open to Kehillah members only! How much do we understand about Islamic sacred text, traditions, and rituals? How does our lack of familiarity influence our perspective on this fellow Abrahamic faith? And, as Jews having experienced anti-Semitism, how do we counter growing Islamophobia in our own country? Join us as we explore these questions and more with our Introduction to Islam series. Prior to the first class, please read chapters 2 & 4 of Professor Safi's book, Memories of Muhammad: Why the Prophet Matters. Copies are available in the office!
