Upcoming Events

Save the Date:  Kehillah Annual Meeting. Tues., June 17, 7 p.m. Elect our new officers and Board members, and pass the 2008-09 budget.  Dessert provided!

 

Religious School Applications for 2008-09. Deadline: June 15. Consider teaching or assisting in the religious school. Contact the office for info.

 

Parking Spaces available for summer, fall, and overnight.  The Kehillah has a limited number of parking spaces for rent.  Many of our renters are referred by our congregants!  Contact the office.

Your Simchas (Happy Occasions) and News:  Please send us news of births, graduations, special recognition and awards, engagements, special anniversary's and birthdays, etc. for us to add to our announcements. Thanks!

Volunteer Opportunities

Work in Community House, men's residential shelter, Monday & Friday mornings.  Training provided.

 

IFC community kitchen lunch. 1st Tues. of every month. Prepare the meal & serve from 9:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Contact Irma.

 

Help beautify the Kehillah. We need strong people to move some bricks and flower pots. Contact Audrey.

Social Action/Tzedakah

Inter-Faith Council (IFC). Needed:  black beans,  spaghetti sauce, chicken noodle soup, crackers, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, cereal,  mayonnaise, flour (2 lb), sugar (2 lb.), oil (32 oz.). Please bring donations to Chapel Emanu-El.

 

Recycle and support the Kehillah Religious School.  We collect box tops, printer cartridges, and 6 & 32 oz. yogurt containers.

Community Events

Benefit concert supporting IFC. Sun., June 22, 7:30 p.m., Binkley Baptist Church. National & international group, The Benzie Community Chorus, will be featured in a mix of Broadway & Gospel numbers. Pedalers on the Route (to a cure) our local Jewish Community Cycling Team seeking new members from the Triangle Jewish Community of Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh.  Contact Joel H. 919-303-5635.
